softbloom is an atmospheric duo from Budapest experimenting along the lines of shoegaze, dreamy soft pop, and doom. The project was born in 2024 by Imola Szabó (vocals, guitar) and Péter Stanfel (drums). Their songs largely deal with the difficulties of relationships and disillusionment with the world. Although Imola’s songs are structural, Péter’s jazz-rooted playing defines the final result. In their unique sound, dreamlike softness meets the weight of reality.
